I don't think Mart let Kane down in the same selfish way as the other townsfolk (although Kane might well have thought so). Mart was right about being a liability if and when the trouble started, so maybe what really got to Kane was his former mentor's cynical despair and loss of faith, his belief that "it's all for nothing." For Kane that would have cut much deeper than the selfishness and apathy of the townsfolk -- especially so as Mart was genuinely concerned for him and totally sincere in his advice. Wonderful how the scripting and the acting conveyed so much in such a short scene.

Theres so much said about the stoic glares of the tough and driven men of these stories. But i want to give credit to the slow, receding hope of a woman who understands she is not going to get the guy at the end. Only a woman could say nothing while moving from joy, to hope, to trepidation, to loss, to forlorn. Barely any words.

If the gunfight had taken place during a full moon rather than at half moon the old sheriff would have turned into a werewolf and killed the bad guys in a few minutes. None of the bad guys had silver bullets in their guns.

😢 i started on this game on 2003. (i was 13 years old) It was Lady Aribeth that i tried my best for. Did not even understand most of the story, did not understand character building. had to struggle with the campaign like mad. Imagine charisma and wisdom on a fighter. hahah. i only ventured into online persistent world in June Holidays of 2007. from then on, I only played Arelith until about 2023. I had quite a few roleplay scares that made me almost shat my pants in real life. my first time RPing a drow in the Underdark Udos as a male. did not even know what is matron // Valsharess.. as a clueless Jaluk, daring to say no to a priestess of Lolth. I was almost fed to the kivvil.. Vith.. Then i played a female priestess so i am not on the bottom of the food chain right?. and i am foolish for showing sympathy to the lesser races. Stupid me. i am supposed to rule via fear. right? totally character breaking. Lolth Tlu Malla. So, I figured i had difficulty 'roleplaying' as characters and races i do not know much right? Never quite fitted in and never did leveled far and high enough to survive and explore further. So, why not, make a male human. fighter.. Weapon Master with a greatsword! That was when 2010--2012, my most memorable life as a roleplayer. Hahah. I had the best fun i had in Neverwinter Nights and I totally loved simple fighter going toe on toe with the enemy. easier than magicks and of course, not as strong against a totally buffed up opponent. So i had to resort to rushing into battles i guess. Honestly, I think i grew up during this time a lot. i had to put myself into the shoes of my character 'Gracielo Espada' and make decisions, moral choices, immoral ones, and watch them play out. and this in turn teach me a bit more about the complexities of the working world. Around 20ish years old, it was this time when i replayed the Original Campaign. And now, with better command in English, I fell in love with the storywriting, understood the Lady better and the various side quests. 2:28 and 19:48 does make me tear up still. it is like, i am watching myself now, imagining myself still in those simpler years too. Hah! WHAT A RIDE! Thanks !! -- back to work --

There's SO much communicated just in their eyes and in their silences. You can see the thoughts and realizations and hopes and fears and regrets in their faces, and Jason Robards is there in the corner the whole time with "I told you so" written all over his face. Masterful acting.

As someone who's been really enjoying the story of base PSO2 so far (currently at Episode 5!), it does make me a bit sad to see the hate for it here in the comments, especially since I've come to prefer it over NGS. (I think NGS is okay, but is lacking in the elements that makes the PSO series unique)
